Between his pre-flight preparations and the 33.5-hour journey itself, he went some 55 hours without sleep. We salute his endurance with this delicious long drink that will awake your senses and make you feel like a hero. - HUGHES’ FASHION / £8.65 - Bulleit Rye Whiskey, Cherry Heering, Jägermeister Faced with a huge tax bill in California, Hughes decided to move to Las Vegas and took residence on the top floor of the Desert Inn. When the hotel’s owner tried to evict Hughes and his staff, who didn’t gamble, in order to free up rooms for high-roller guests, Hughes decided to buy the place. This is our twist on an “Old” classic that celebrates a timeless extravagant lifestyle. - BLERIOT’S MARTINI / £8.65 - Remy Martin VSOP, Chambord, pineapple juice Dedicated to the aviator who piloted the first successful flight over the English Channel and invented the first flying monoplane. This cocktail is a variation to the classic French martini with cognac added for that extra “je ne sais quoi”. - COLEMAN’S MOJITO / £7.32 - Havana 3yr Old, mint, lime, mango juice Bessie Coleman was an American aviator. In 1922, a time of both gender and racial discrimination, Coleman broke barriers and became the world's first black woman to
earn a pilot's license. Coleman specialized in stunt flying and parachuting and performing aerial tricks. She remains a pioneer of women in the field of aviation. Just like Bessie, we have challenged the norm and come up with a cocktail that will put a smile on your face. - WHITTLE’S FIZZ / £8.32 - Blood Orange Gin, Maraschino Liqueur, lime, soda Sir Frank Whittle was a British pilot, aviation engineer and inventor of the 20th century who is best known for the invention of the jet engine. Whittle was known to be a daring pilot who performed stunts such as “flick roll” – this was his own trick where he would bring the plane so close to the ground that the wheels would spin. To emulate him, we have mixed bold flavours and come up with a drink that will make you ask for more. Pricing look a little odd? No, we haven’t had one too many. We’re simply passing the full 15% government VAT discount onto you. The perfect excuse to try our brand new cocktails!
